the CO₂ revolution

home journals CO₂ reduction

To get a bit technical, trees absorb CO₂ as they grow. This happens through the process of photosynthesis, which stops when they mature. If we harvest mature trees and replant saplings in their place, which will soak up more CO₂, we can maintain the carbon cycle.

Using wood to build furniture and buildings creates a long-term carbon store (1000kg of CO₂ is stored in every m3 of wood) and reduces the use of pollutive and high-energy materials.

Furthermore, the more wood we use, the more demand we create – a revolution that can lead to large-scale reforestation of the planet. The CO₂ revolution.
