info
The atmosphere in the Teylers museum, the oldest public museum in the Netherlands, is unique. Each space represents its own period of origin and has not been affected by the need for change over time. There are different types of daylight rooms throughout the building.
Now the Teylers museum café has been renewed. The layout has changed, the acoustics have been improved and the warm colours and materials are more in line with the appearance of the museum. Eye-catchers are the beautiful images from our collection by Aert Schouman (1710-1792). The birds seem to be able to fly straight into the garden.
